The Neverending Story

I saw all the Star Wars as a kid so by the time I realized how insane this one was I don't think it had the impact it did on others. I can't imagine watching this as an adult and not knowing the Vader Father twist. I feel like I would have heart failure.
I have a legitimate, non-thread-derailing question: did anyone else think Vader was lying about being Luke's father the first time they saw TESB?
I'm only 29 and saw all the prequels as a kid on tape one after the other, but I honestly thought he was lying until I popped in the ROTJ tape afterward and go to the part where Luke confronted Yoda about it.

It's a toss up between Star Wars or Forrest Gump

Yes.
Not my favorite movie, but probably the most fun I've ever had watching a movie for the first time.

I think maybe an interesting twist to the question is what movie do you wish you hadn't seen until you were older. I saw the original Star Wars when I was 4. I wonder what I'd have thought of it if I had been 10 years older at the time.
This was my first thought after opening this thread. Although, I saw A New Hope when I was 6 seeing it when I was 13 or so would have made it much better.

The Godfather or Pulp Fiction

Brazil. Saw it fairly young. I'd love to compare my reaction then and now.
Empire Strikes Back. Just the most fun I've ever had in a movie theater.

Krull. But I also want to be 5 years old again when I watch it.

Blood Simple. Started my love for the Coens.

The Dark Knight here as well. Glad I'm not the only one.
Probably the coolest/best experience/feeling I've ever had at a movie. I was completely immersed in it with the first scene, and wasn't released until the credits started rolling at the end and I realized my heart was pounding and my breathing wasn't relaxed.
