It wasn't that bad, it was enjoyable but not necessarily great.

I swear some of you live to be miserable.

This crap only happened because they had a gay version of Harvey Wienstien directing. The same guy that gave us the crap Superman Return.

The X Franchise could have been about so much more and ravel the MCU.

Space? You got the Shi'ar , Brood, Phanlax and Starjammers.

Villians on the ground? They didn't even do a legit brotherhood vs X-Men fight yet, or Sisniter, shite how about a Sentinel war?

An Infinity War style Dark Phoenix saga with them battling the Shi'Ar champions could have been so damn legit but nope. They had anrrow minded vision.

Singer only worry about making gay allegory to the x-men and thats it. He didn't care about world building.

Don't forget they also pissed away the Hellfire Club with Shaw and Frost, and cast a charisma desert to play Frost.

But I wanted to post everything you did. It's amazing that they took two stabs at Dark Phoenix without encountering the Shi'ar. Marvel went full gusto on cosmic powers and aliens, and that added a lot of energy to the MCU. The X-Men had multiple alien encounters, and somehow Fox missed the chance to be the first comics franchise in outer space. The Starjammers could have spun off a stand-alone movie. This is why I'm glad Disney/Marvel is getting the X properties.

At least the McAvoy series got beyond Hugh Jackman (mostly) and black rubber suits. But Singer was obsessed with the one storyline of bigotry & oppression, and we all know why.

As soon as these movies went away from McAvoy and Fassbender carrying the franchise is when they started to suck. Both of those guys outclassed every other actor in the entirety of their run

1000% this.

I thought McAvoy and Fassbender were phenomenal as Charles and Magneto. Hell even Hoult was good.

Days of Future Past might be one of my favorite superhero movies ever.

Once it was all back on singer is when it went to hell, I think Vaughan had done a lot of the work on DOFP.

They should have paid him whatever to keep him doing x men movies

They could reboot the franchise with origin stories and move into the hellfire club and then dark Phoenix saga. Brood would be cool too. It would take a helluva writer and perfect casting to pull off.

I’d say Fassbender to return as Magneto too but there are rumors he might be Doctor Doom

Speaking of characters Hollywood can’t get right…
