Don’t want to start if there is no “ending”.
There are a few endings. They went from the series to films, back to another series decades later.

I never finished the entire series and it’s been a long time since I e watched it so the hankering is back. Just started episode 1 on Hulu

I loved everything about the X-files from day one. I still watch many of the reruns on Cozi tv every day.
The episodes about aliens were always my favorites, and I also enjoyed the Lone Gunmen as well.

One of my favorite episodes is episode 5:12, Bad Blood. It is one of the comedy ones where they are dealing with a town of vampires. They tell their accounts of the events from their own exaggerated perspectives. It is so brilliant to me.

“Home” is one of the most disturbing hours of television I ever watched. I was lucky (unlucky?) to watch it the night it originally released.

There was no lead-in that it was going to be that way - and was banned (well, not re-broadcast) for the longest.

This show really was groundbreaking as it rekindled the mystery of the supernatural for a whole new audience. So well done during those first several seasons.

Also, I think they were at their best with the monster of the week stories. Really interesting stuff.

ETA: I just looked up Home based on this thread and didn’t know it was directed by Toby Hooper.
