Gerald McRaney aka Major Dad
played Rev. Gus Horton from Get Low. Only figured it out halfway though the movie and said out loud "omg it's Major Dad!" Which was okay because I was the only one in the theater (btw its good movie with quality performances). He has gotten very old!
And just a fun fact he also was Bastian's Dad in The Neverending Story!

Keanu Reeves played a hockey player in the movie Youngblood. I had the movie way back when and had watched it a hundred times. I watched it the other day on TV and never realized he was in this.

Movies with big ensemble casts often have a lot of future notables. Case in point - 2001's Black Hawk Down. Here are some of the less-obvious examples:
Orlando Bloom, before LOTR and Pirates of the Carribean, played Todd Blackburn, the Ranger who fell from the Black Hawk while trying to fast-rope.
Inception's Tom Hardy, who played Twomley, one of the stranded SAW Gunners.
Modern Family's Ty Burrell, who played the Air Force Pararescue Guy dropped in to help the wounded crew of the first Black Hawk crash.
*No picture available* Ioan Gruffudd, aka Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four movies, was the Ranger Lt. who suffered from seizures.
