I don't hate Spacey's accent in HoC like people in here seem to.
If anything, it's fake just like his character.

I really don't have a clue why people hate it so much. It isn't exaggerated. I think it is a fine accent. The locale for the accent could be wrong but I just can't figure the hate for this one.
Oh.... Honorable Mention to Tara from true blood. People really hated that one and many people called it racist.

I could be completely missing the mark here but I think that is the point. Frank Underwood is not a real person. He is completely made up concept. Everything about him is a achieve a goal and part of that persona is to be as Southern as southern is.
