The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo points and laughs at that.

If its not suitable for the holidays than why push it half a year? This is so stupid.

Because it is more profitable to release it during the summer movie season than the first quarter of the year

I just don't know how well this will translate to being a movie.

I hope they can pull it off though

I am hoping it would be more like a history channel or ken burns documentary then a first person narrative movie, but I tink I am going to be disappointed

Spring is when you dump your crappy movies. So moving it to June still shows they think it is good. Which is something.

I feel the exact same way. That book is suited for an HBO series way more than a one and done movie.

My expectations have rarely been lower for a movie but I do genuinely hope they can pull it off.

Yeah, it's been discussed here before but apparently the movie doesn't follow the book very closely at all. There's been an a bit of an outrage from fans of the book.
