Idk if you noticed this, but Star Wars was made in America (filmed all over, but made in the US), by an American production company, written and directed by an American dude.

The woke stuff I avoid almost entirely are the films/shows centered around black trauma. Things like 12 Years A Slave, Queen And Slim, Lovecraft Country, etc. I did watch the Watchmen series on HBOMax, and it was as bad as I expected it to be.

If I think the material is more about politics than telling a story then why would I want to watch?
Even if I agreed with the political bias I can't think of a non documentary where political messaging improved a story.
Political ideology feels like such a sloppy stupid way to ruin three dimensional characters or storytelling.
