It was a good movie, but a little far from great. Some bad characterization in every character but Renner's. Definitely some choppy editing, but overall it was a successful debut for Sheridan, and the movie is worth seeing just for Renner's performance.

I thought that was a little over kill also. Not even sure if drill sites have security there.

I have been on a lot of drilling and production sites all over the US and NEVER seen an armed security detail on any of them

I redboxed it not knowing anything and really really loved it. I kept it 2 extra days lol
