The John Wick trilogy does not have to do much to be better than The Matrix trilogy.
However, The Matrix is hands down better than the first installment of John Wick.

The first Matrix was way better than in my opinion. John Wick was an action movie, The Matrix made you think and did things with cameras that were way beyond what had been done before. It was my generations star wars as far as special effects.
But the rest of the Matix movies were beyond bad, so I could easily see that the Wick movies could overtake with a 3 movie average.

The first Matrix movie will be better than any the John Wick movies by a long shot. The other two Matrix movies actually took away from the first one.

its on hbogo right now as well.
the sequel just got pushed because the producers wanted to go with different directors. i read that the sequel will focus on the continental and the whole underground world aspect of the movie, which seems to be a popular choice.

Matrix 1 >> John Wick 1 + whatever they will do with 2 and 3.
I enjoyed John Wick 1, but knowing that sequels are likely not as good, there is no way it will be on the same level. Plus JW1 was really just a well made action flick...nothing at all more.
Matrix 1 was the epitome of revolutionary for the sci-fi movie genre.
Still not a bad thought though. Worthy of discussion.
