Because in a world where everything is picked apart to a carcass or has to be chasing an Oscar, sometimes it's nice to just shut your brain off and laugh your arse off.

And it's still funny.

Nostalgia for most. I liked it when I was 16-18 or so but after that not so much.

It's visceral and universal. Particularly if you are male, The Three Stooges and Beavis & Butthead will always be funny, whether you are 4 or 94, at least IMHO.

B&B has always been funny to me. I guess there was a time in the late 90s when I sort of grew out of them a little, but I still always laughed whenever I saw them on TV. And it's not even laugh out loud funny most of the time (although certainly sometimes it is)...most of the time I just find myself chuckling nonstop at them.

When I watched the new movie that came out a few months back, I was giggling to myself nonstop for 90 minutes straight. For whatever reason, they're just hilariously enjoyable for me.

Because it is.

I used to record them in college when they first came out and would watch them on repeat.

They're funny for the same reason they were funny then. I knew guys like that back in high school...who were outsiders but thought they were cool. And yet because of how outside they were, and how up their own asses they were, it gave them a freedom to make fun of everyone else. This is why the newer ones hit just as hard, because people today have even less ability to laugh at themselves, so having two losers point it out stings worse.

Worst cartoon ever. I never found it funny.
