"best" is very subject to interpretation. My favorite character is probably Tyrion Lannister. The most well portrayed character might be Tony Soprano or Walter White; both actors, James Gandolfini and Bryan Cranston were absolutely perfect for their respective roles. Marlon Brando was obviously great as Don Vito Corleone but there's nothing like a TV series to challenge acting ability with consistency in a character role through ongoing screen time.
