I’ve been predicting we’d see him again this season. We never actually saw Ser Meryn Trant kill him.

The problem is that the writers try to degrade him constantly. fricking Cersei after blowing up the Sept.

Yeah they have taken a huge shite on Jaime. He's the best character in the books by far and his POV is the only redeeming quality of AFOC.

I agree with the YouTube theorists, that Jon is the prince that was promised, but not in the way that people think. He'll have to sacrifice himself and become a WW to appease the deal that The Last Hero made.

What deal is that exactly? I’ve never heard of any deal
In ancient times, the WW were "defeated" by The Last Hero. Some people believe that he was a Stark and that he actually made a deal with them and sacrificed himself, possibly becoming the Night King. The same people believe that "the prince that was promised" actually refers to a person of royal lineage once again making the sacrifice in order to save Westeros.

Jon Snow is currently the only person in Westeros who can claim to be a prince. If Cersei has a baby boy, however, that might very well factor into it.

Sorry. I was out of town.

Cersei’s are pretty solid too.

Btw, I am getting the feeling that Tyrion turns on Dany and Jon. He made some kind of deal with Cersei and is still loyal to Jaime
I'm really not trying to read too much into his troubled look on the boat, but I kinda feel this is where they are going. I'm gonna hate it if they do cause it makes no sense really

Just based on the characters, I'd love to see Tyrion or Jaime take the throne. Unfortunately, neither of them will.

I don't know who is going to take it but I will say that I'll be pissed off if it turns out as many have predicted in this thread where Jon and Danys kid takes over.

It won't be anyone on the show now. All will die except Tyrion and Missandei raising the daughter of Jon Snow and Dany and serving as her hand until she is of age.

Also, I am in the "Bran is the Night King" camp. Jon will kill him.

I think the reason Jon forgave her so quick, if he was ever mad, is cause he knows he would have lost without her. If she tells him about the deal (to join up with Littlefinger and support him), I don't think he agrees to it. But even if he does, when he shows up on the battle field with the Vale army, Ramsey would not have fought him. Ramsey was too smart. He would have stayed in Winterfell and waited out the siege. Jon, even with the new army, could not have taken Winterfell, especially with winter coming. Sansa, probably not intentionally, played it perfectly. They aren't taking Winterfell any other way..

Dude, Jon knows how to command a battle. Furthermore, Jon didn’t know Littlefinger and he’s not retarded, he would’ve most definitely used the Knights of the Vale. Sansa did that because she’s a cold bitch. She couldn’t even bring herself to explain to Brienne why she did that. A lot less people would’ve died had she informed Jon.

Yeah but that’s not ironclad. Nor does that really make sense when you think about it.

If I had to bet on it, I’d bet on Cersei, or whoever emerges as the biggest villain this season. Or maybe everyone just dies.

There’s no way she wins. If she somehow defeats Jon and Dany with only the remnants of the Lannister army and the Golden Company, which she won’t, she’ll get crushed by the Night King. She doesn’t win.

Bran is the Night King, wants to kill Dany & her dragons because she’s the real villain, after that a truce will be declared.

Jon dissolves the throne. Sails East, to....

*SPOILER ALERT*

I've only watched the series once through. There may be something I'm missing to make my guess completely invalid, so lemme know if I'm an idiot. Otherwise, stick with me here. If you don't want to know how it ends, stop reading.

Gilly is going to sit on the throne.

Samwell is going to be king. Little Samwell, that is. Who will ultimately be known as Samwell Targaryen. Gilly (Targeryen) will sit as Queen Regent until he is of age.

Why you ask?

Craster is actually Maestor Aemon (Targeryen)'s son. That makes Gilly, and her child, Targeryen; thus, they have at least an argument for the crown. I don't think anyone debates that Samwell's arc is somehow very important. Gilly is turning out to be quite smart. I think all the pieces are there.

The books (I believe) allude to Craster being a bastard son of a night's watch member (Aemon????) and a wildling. Aemon couldn't bring himself to kill his son, but couldn't allow him back south either. So Craster had to live out his days north of the wall. Aemon advised Craster to sacrifice all of his sons to stomp out any potential conflict; appeasing the WW was a nice benefit.

Aemon is angry at Samwell when he thinks that Gilly is a random wildling and the baby is his doing. However, he becomes much more welcoming when he learns that Gilly is one of Craster's daughter/wives and it is actually Craster's baby (Aemon's grandson). Also, Aemon defends Jon when he is on trial for, among other things, sleeping with Ygritte by saying it isn't the first time a brother has broken his vows of chastity (he knows first hand).

Some other notes are that Little Samwell is Craster's 100th son. There is something important about that baby. Also, on his deathbed, Aemon refers to baby Sam as "Egg", AKA 'Aegon', his little brother. There is something more to that than old man dementia.

Another more far-fetched theory I have is that the first WW was a Targaryen in some way shape or form (did they ever divulge who it was that the fairy children people converted first?). As such, only Targaryen's can be converted into WW, which is why they want Craster's sons. Also explains why the night king is now riding a damn ice dragon around.

Thoughts?!

Remember Bran was told by the man in the tree that he won't ever walk again, but he will fly...Viserion maybe?
