And clearly deserves it's own show? I've been gone from here a while so I'm sure that it's a dead horse by now but I just watched last night. Now I read it may get it's own series.

In!

It's bottom tier for me. Probably the top of that tier, but still in the bottom.

It isn't the GOAT, but it was one of my favorites.

It wasn't better than San Junipero, White Christmas, or The Entire History of You.

Not a top one for me, though admittedly I liked the concept.

The Entire History of You
White Christmas
San Junipero
Metalhead
Playtest

Those are my favs

I seem to be in the minority, but for me, Crocodile, was clearly my favorite this year. It was amazing. The cinematography was beautiful, the acting was outstanding, and the story so bleak and unexpected. It looked and felt like a really suspenseful, art house movie. Loved it.

SPOILER

I wanted to see the blonde woman get taken down by the cops. That was the only negative for me.

Here's where the director of the episode discussed it. It sounds like it's just talk, like when an actor says "I'd love to do a sequel".

quote:

I was talking with Louise Sutton, who produced this and “Metalhead,” and she cooked up a brilliant idea of spinning it off into a TV series. I’d love to do a TV series of “USS Callister” — it’s probably one of the best pilots for a space show, ever. And I made it! So I’m keen to see it as a TV series. I think Charlie might revisit it as a Black Mirror. Whether I’m the one to do it, I don’t know. Being a fan of the show as much as I am, and being a part of making it, I’d love to work with that crew and cast again. It’s a gift for a director.

I can see it being a good set up for a show. A group of regular people trapped in a Star Trek like game. USS Callister could be the Galaxy Quest like parody series that the Orville looked like from a distance. A good bit of the cast were comic actors so that's set up already, and comedy in space has worked before with Red Dwarf.

It was good, I'd put it in my top 3. GOAT episode is San Junipero and second is Entire History of You. Callister lacked that big emotional punch that the others had. They kind of had it with the Tommy stuff, but it wasn't the ultimate end of the episode.

I wouldn't exactly describe her like that, but I've always liked "brunette Lily."
