Me too.
I tried watching TWD. I don't care for it at all so I personally I wouldn't consider it a top show.
LOST? Absolutely 1000x yes.

The walking dead is very good overall but it's kind of up and down. Lost is the GOAT in my opinion. Lost is like a great song that you can listen to 1,000 times and get something new from it every time.

Hated Lost. Never made it beyond a few episodes.
Season 1 of TWD is one of the best seasons of TV I have ever seen. It now appears to have jumped the shark.

TWD has never completely ruined a character the way Lost did Locke. Took one of the two best characters on the show and made him literally one of the worst characters in TV history. They also gave the best character, Charlie, a shitty storyline with Claire on the island and made him whiny, then killed him off too early. So at least TWD has that.
TWD gets a lot of unnecessary hate. People hate on it because it's not some artistic masterpiece like Breaking Bad was. But in reality TWD is exactly what it's supposed to be, mindless and fun and entertaining. They've never tried to be anything more than that. And they have a comic book to roughly follow.
Lost on the other hand tried way too hard to be better than it was and as a result everything after the first 2 seasons ended up complete and utter trash.
TWD gets my vote based on what I just said, although the first 2 seasons of Lost were better than anything TWD has done.

Ummm, how did they ruin his character? You do realize the Locke you saw in Seasons 5 and 6 actually wasn't actually Locke but an intentional abomination of him and everything he stood for, right?
It's obvious from the start: Locke was the Obi Wan to Jack's Luke. They had a much more adversarial relationship than the mentor typically has, but after Locke's death, Jack realizes he was right and then seeks to follow what he had taught him. Locke in hindsight had to go at least before the final season in order for Jack to become the man he was destined to be.
They didn't ruin Locke's character whatsoever. The character they did ruin was Sayid, and it makes me quite bitter. Him going off with Shannon in the afterlife undermines his entire arc. What a load of shite.

Obviously. They ruined Locke way before that. Great character season 1. Season 2 his decline was already palpable, but he was still tolerable. After that his whole self righteous shtick was unbearable. Worst character on the whole show. His scenes after season 2 were barely watchable. Almost bad enough to make you abandon the whole series and not even care to find out what was going on.
Locke sucked balls.
Charlie was tGOAT.

Thanks for the specifics. You're talking shite.

I would say these are probably the two best shows on TV (not including Premium channel shows) in the last 30 years.
Are you fricking insane, in regard to TWD? First 2-3 seasons maybe. But it's gotten so bad I just quit halfway through last season. Just too much of the same of bullshite.

Once they got to the prison I stopped and never looked back. West Wing and Battlestar Galactica are miles better than TWD just off the top of my head.

Lost...this shouldn't even be a question. I watch the walking dead and enjoy it, but to give you an example of the difference.
After I watched the season premier of TWD to see who Negan offed I have literally not watched one episode nor have I wanted to. I will wait for it to drop on Netflix then binge.
Lost on the other hand every single week I made sure to watch that show either during original airing or the next day recorded without fail.
TWD is a good story and it's interesting. LOST was absolutely captivating. The only reason there is even a question if it's the G.O.A.T. is they wrote themselves into a corner and bungled the ending a little.

Lost and it's not remotely close.

The ending of lost just fricks it up for me.

I would still rather that ending and having enjoyed the show as apposed to the lackluster writing of TWD. I've watched both (and continue watching TWD) but I enjoyed the body of work of Lost and it's way more entertaining than TWD. Part of the reason the ending of Lost is so polarizing is that the show as a whole was enthralling enough to amass/maintain a huge fanbase.

What do you think the ending was?

An end all solution to tie up all the loose ends because the writers dug too big a hole.

Do you think they died in the crash?
