Which do you prefer? Drop whole season at once or 1 episode per week?

I am not sure if this has been discussed. But which do you prefer? Netflix dropping the whole series season at once? Or Disney dropping one episode per week?

It is satisfying to binge a whole season in a weekend, but there is no doubt that the Mandalorian and Wandavision have built suspense by only releasing one episode at a time.

Once a week

I don’t have time to sit and watch through a whole season in short time span anymore

I much prefer releasing the whole season at once. My memory is not that great and it’s easier to remember plot lines between episodes. Plus I like having more control over when I watch.

I used to like the full drop, but binging shows has really started ruining them for me.

Drop. If it is once a week, I start watching right before the last episode drops.

Same goes for LOST, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Sopranos, etc.

Drop all at once. If 3 episodes in I’m not feeling it, I can move on instead of wasting a month waiting around.

I’ve liked the discussion generation with Mando and The Boys and now WandaVision. You don’t get that with a binge.

I personally hate the full drop. it eliminates all discussion and theory since it becomes a mad dash to finish and avoid spoilers.

can you imagine if Mando released all at once? so many things wouldve been ruined and half the fun of speculating what was coming would never happen.

Once a week builds a community. binging puts everyone on an island.

Luke would have been leaked all over. Your only hope would have been an internet sabbatical.

Depends on the show.

Shows like The Witcher, Stranger Things, The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, WandaVision, The Boys, Breaking Bad, etc. Ones that keep you engaged and have real stories worth discussing and waiting a week for should be in that format.

Most sitcoms and network dramas, that’s bingeworthy stuff. Huge plot things don’t really happen much from episode to episode, they reset each week and basically do a crime/case/mystery/simple stupid sissy drama nonsense each episode and there’s no real discussion to be had each week. I will say that The Office/Parks and Rec/Modern Family fit in either category. They were worth the wait usually between episodes, but are enjoyable now in binge format. There isn’t a sitcom like that any more on network tv that has a consistent long form narrative. The Goldbergs is solid but the lesson is always the same and it jumps all around the 80s.

Drop the whole season. People bitching about binging a show clearly have no self-control. I can watch one episode a night for 6-10 nights (depending on how long the season is) right before I go to bed. I can also binge the whole season in two days if I have nothing better to do.

Depends on the series. Comedy, all at once. Drama once a week.

I like the discussions and fan theories and memes that take place between episode releases. To me that's as much of the entertainment as the show itself.

Give me everything at once. Let me decide how fast I want to watch it. It's why I've waited until each season of the Mandalorian to finish, why I'm waiting for WandaVision to finish, etc.

The whole thing at once. If it's a 45-60 min episode I'll usually space it out and watch one a night

My issue with that is it takes away from office chatter about what’s going on and such.

Stranger Things is the one I always think of that would be better with a weekly drop. Instead everyone watches it in 1 week or shorter. Everything blends together you just chat about the overall season and move on.

Now with Mando and GoT and other weekly drops you discuss weekly episodes and theories and such. Way more enjoyable to me.
