I have been watching the second Season, up to episode 5 right now. So far, nothing great but enjoyable, and better than season 1 imho. Now I didn't read the series or books or whatever so I have nothing to compare it to.

I understand the book reader complaints, but I'm asking you guys to give season 2 a try. It's much better than season 1.

As I said before, dried shite is much better than freshly squirted liquid shite. It's still shite though.

Lipstick on a pig, polishing a turd, etc.

I'm craving something to watch.

I either want to watch original material, or material that stays true to the source material. Hell, I'll even settle for "mostly true."

WoT is neither.
Rings of Power is neither.
Witcher is neither.

All three have a showrunner who is unable to create their own world and tell their own story, and instead takes an existing world and source material, and then proceeds to shite all over it and tell what *they* think the story *should* have been

It's narcissism and arrogance of the highest order, and in no way should be supported.

If WoT followed the books 95% with the 5% being Egwene slightly lighter dark hair, then maybe you can use it. Another example is Harry Potter series, Harry Potter suppose to have green eyes, Daneil Radcliff eyes are blue. Yet it follow the book faithfully enough and for those that complain, then yes, you could dunk on them with the...

However, Season 1 had like 5% source material in it with the rest being original shite they came up with. That comment of yours doesn't work.

You have a few people in here that are jerking off over the fact the show runner has shite all over the source material, because they hate it as much as Rafe and enjoy watching something other people enjoyed being destroyed.

So they feel the need to downvote any criticism and crow about how awesome the show really is. We’re just too stupid to see Rafes awesomeness.

No. People who just didn’t read the books don’t see the same issues that book readers do. If I was a faithful book reader, I’d probably hate the show too. But I also wouldn’t be in here week after week bitching about it either.

Season 1 was weak but this season has been much much better in terms of quality for casual viewers. Not trying to dunk on those who love the books, just dunk on those who hate watch it or just flame the discussion threads because it’s not like the books

Pretty much

Same people doing the same shite with RoP. That Venn diagram is just a single circle.

This stupid arse show is CW quality and I can’t imagine S2 escaping that.

You people have a low bar for decent fantasy entertainment.

no, they actually do like it.

there are also weirdos that like godfather 3 and think its on the same level as part 1 and 2. some people just have poor taste and low standards, that is all.

I didn't read the books; at times I was more unimpressed with season 1 than the readers. There'd be a scene that was silly and pointless, and I'd say "WTF was that?", and a reader would say "it was supposed to be X, which is pretty cool. They could have done that better".

I fall into the casual viewer category, but haven't been able to get into this season. I watched a couple episodes, it still seemed rather pointless and confusing. So I haven't watched anymore. I might pick it back up, but my approach to shows is it shouldn't be that hard to follow things, and it should make me want to watch with something offered. I haven't found it yet.

Season 2 has 87% and 82% from the critics and audience respectively. Maybe, just maybe, you plebs can’t separate your love of the books from the show that’s deviated a lot from the source material. That can’t be influencing your view of the show at all
