I was dealing with some shite when my daughter and my parents conned me into watching this movie without a prompt. I had no idea what I was in for. I had to walk out of the room because i was sobbing my eyes out.

Watched 500 Days of Summer last night after it was mentioned in this thread a few times.

Definitely a good movie - well written directed. It was worth the watch.

For someone like me (an older guy), it was kind of aggravating watching the naïve idiocy of the guy and the vacantness of the girl. But then again, at that age, some people have always fallen into those roles.

I did think Zoey Deschenal could have done better with her part. She just didn't impart any depth or sympathy to the character at all IMHO. I think a different actress might have been able to do a better job there.
