I can't pick just one but here's a short list of my favorites:

Unforgiven
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Hang em High
High Noon
Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid
Tombstone

Quite better than the remake.

I needed subtitles to understand Jeff Bridges and a flashlight to see most of the movie.

Though Mattie is more true to the book in the remake but Darby was no slouch, just older.

I’m partial to Lonesome Dove because it’s my favorite book, but the good, the bad and the ugly is a masterpiece

Rio Lobo or The War Wagon. For pure nostalgia. I know they’re not the best westerns.

Favorite of the spaghetti westerns or me is For A Few Dollars More.

Can't pick a favorite western but the John Ford cavalry trilogy is up there.

Once upon a time in the west is my favorite film ever made. I love the western genre and I just don't see how anyone who Is a western fan doesn't think that's the one.

And Claudia cardinale is a gd smokeshow throughout

Loved me some Open Range. Find it to be highly underappreciated.

Love many mentioned. A few lesser known stone-cold classics:

My Dad turned me on to this movie when I was a kid. My first western. Still one of my favorites.
