I just moved to the sticks out in TN. There’s what used to be an old barn with the landlord’s stuff in this big shed that prob used to hold horses. I don’t know Anywho, the other night I go to turn the light off and I got deja vu.

It was the barn scene from The Ring. It looks like the top pic, ladder and all, with a light. And there’s a well in my backyard. No shite.

So what’s a scary movie or horror movie or whatever. Hard to be moved by a movie at my age, but what’s your best “I got chills” watching that one?

When I was a kid Salem’s Lot scared the shite out of me. I was also disturbed by The Thing and Alien.

Not horror really, but to this day, The Green Mile creeps me out. I'm not even sure why, but I cannot watch it.

I purposely took a large amount of shrooms while staying in The Stanley Hotel.

But yeah, that shite is cool. Maybe there's a dead body near

The Exorcist.

Modern audiences may quibble over the special effects being campy, but for its time, it was the pinnacle of the horror genre.

Interesting. Which part specifically do you find so creepy?

It holds up imo

As does The Thing, American Werewolf in London, 2001 & Aliens

She never leaves

That area is my roof. I suck at internetting and couldn’t figure out how to host an image, but I did create a damn imgur to post that. I suck, I know.

Let’s get some serious replies. What ruffled some feathers?

I think it’s one of these 4:

Exorcist
Jaws
The grudge
Jacob’s ladder

I'm not saying Hellraiser was the scariest movie of all time. I don't know.

What I do know is I've never intentionally watched a horror movie since I saw it thirty years ago. I don't like scary movies.

Hell raiser is an incredibly dumb movie franchise.

Awful and campy

The Blair Witch Project had a great marketing campaign and caught me at the right age to have me scared shitless.
