Impossible to answer. There are too many hilarious comedies and if you ask me 10 different times I would give 10 different answers.

This is actually the right answer, just too many greats to choose from and it’s difficult to compare some that are totally different.

I will say the most I’ve ever laughed in a theater was when I saw The Hangover which I had NO expectations for and obviously turned out to be a classic

Tommy Boy

Singing “smoking, snorting, shooting, sucking, to those high school kids made me laugh hard. I watch Tommy Boy for the first time with my unit in our on ship Bay Area. Everybody in our platoon laughed out loud at some point. That was a funny movie man.

Naked Gun is the GOAT comedy for me and it ain't particularly close. That movie's only gotten funnier over the years.

I'll throw Half Baked out there for stupid teenage comedy shite. It doesn't hold up as well now that I'm 33, but 14-year-old me watching it for the first time, I was close to pissing myself from laughing so hard.

The Thin Man, Mister Roberts and Some Like It Hot are pretty damn funny.

My "more" modern choice is probably going to default to Ghostbusters.

And more recent films I think are hilarious are Old School, Tropic Thunder and Superbad.

I can't believe Smokey and the Bandit didn't get any love in this thread. The unedited version with all of Jackie Gleason's "Colorful Metaphors" hilarious.

Used Cars is tops on my list.

Nothing even comes close in my book...

Used Cars

Kurt Russell, Jack Warden, Gerrit Graham and Frank McRae totally nail this.

If you've never seen it...watch it, you will literally laugh your arse off....

Trust Me !

My buddies and I had smoked too much weed and drank too much before seeing the movie ..... but I've never laughed so hard as at Porkey's when it came out.

Lassie howling.

Mike Hunt ..... has anyone seen Mike Hunt?

And so on and so forth.

Another poster said it. It kind of depends on my mood and conditions around me at the time. Lots mentioned in this thread are really good choices.
