I know nothing of physics so i'm not sure but the that shift would frick gravity up for a few minutes i'd imagine.

It wouldn't mess up gravity, but it would let some seriously dangerous shite from the sun to get through that's normally deflected.

Well the earth was here 4.5 billion years ago so yeah I am dumb!..

On a side note, just because rock has been found on earth that old, that doesn't mean that the Earth was spinning on its axis around the sun at that time.

Maybe it did. The Bible might have been exaggerating its severity.

It isn't about gravity, it is about the temporary loss of the magnetic field shielding the planet.

Imagine in an instant all satellite and most hard wired telecommunications going down. It may extend further than that, and knock out all electrical grids.

There will also be a significant increase in high energy radiation hitting the surface at that time, but probably not enough to cause an extinction though. Notable cancer rate increases would be likely though.

not necessarily, (first i'm not a firm believer of the bible) the bible doesn't exactly give you exact dates on when things will start to happen. Tribulations could come 2 days before the reckoning it could start tomorrow. The idea is still plausible.

I was going to say that.......you see, one can believe that Earth was here before actual life existed.

All seven seals in 2 days?

FWIW: Most scholars agree that the period is defined as seven years.

Well, yeah, I can't imagine life being on earth before the earth was earth. But anyway, are you saying you believe the story in Genesis?

If that is true, someone either has a sick or an absolutely fricking awesome sense of humor.

Now how and the frick do you gather that from what I've stated. I believe that for the 1st time in 26000 years on 12/21/2012 the earth will align with the a bunch of shite. Thats it.

i'm not saying they are wrong i definitely wouldn't know but how can people find such agreement on a book that could have been changed numerous times to fit the likings of the church.

The most it seems to be is a book of fairy tale and metaphor. Considering there are so many "gospels" etc. that aren't available to be read whose to know anything.

I understand translations but hell French to Cajun French have different translations for different words just as with hebrew so its difficult to really know what was being put on paper without being the one writing it or translating for someone who was writing.

Again i'm sure they know more shite than I do but just saying.

Because there are two camps of people out there, those that are aware of the scientific evidence of the age of the earth and agree it is measured in the billions of years, and then there are the Young Earthers, who believe the earth isn't that old largely because of Genesis.

Well earlier you said that the earth was "created", and that this occurred only thousands of years ago. I dunno, maybe I'm the crazy one?
