Not to say the audio is terrible in Cinemark, but it's a bit of a step down and sounds muddy on some loud scenes.

Was this in the XD theater or a regular?
I was planning to see Maverick at the Perkins Rowe Cinemark XD. I'm at the point that I'd rather go there simply because Cinemark seems like a better company than AMC and I'd rather support them over AMC.

I love the large format screens at Celebrity Theater. May not be the best picture overall, but it's probably the best combination of theater, reclining comfortable seats, picture and sound.

Celebrity is the best theater by far in Baton Rouge. I wish people would quit talking about it so it stays a hidden gem. Clean, fast, best arcade, nice staff.
But for the OP and a movie like this? Dolby on O’Neal. I went to the IMAX version last weekend and going to Dolby tomorrow.
