Why haven't they done a George Washington biopic yet?

1. In the golden age of Hollywood, almost all movies about the American Revolution flopped. Also, with the exception of Drums Along The Mohawk, most of them were pretty bad. So it became conventional wisdom that you didn't want to make a movie about the AR.

2. There was a GW miniseries in the '80s w/Barry Bostwick

3. If there was a GW biopic today it would be about The Evil Slaveowner, with perhaps a few moments given to winning American independence. Everything today must be viewed from the SJW perspective.

the story of the 442nd turned into a Band of Brothers/Pacific type series.

Vernice Armour: black female marine Cobra pilot. Hollywood is desperate to make a hero of women in movies and there is actually a real life hero ready to go.

The story of Tibor Rubin's journey from being in a Jewish death camp to becoming a US citizen and then becoming a MOH recipient.

I always wanted Tom Clancy's "Without Remorse" made into a movie.

But just NOT with Willem Dafoe as Clark.

If done right...and with the right Clark...it could be fricking awesome.

Dan Brown’s Deception Point. It’s not about a closet gaming professor with no charm but hot chicks. The book has Lots of cutting edge military technology, super assassins using super surveillance, high-tech secret subs surfacing in the arctic to rescue a character....all of this to verify a core sample drilled into a meteorite that’s buried a few miles down into the ice.....which contains fossils. This is the only book I’ve read 3 times, it’s a true page-turner.

Everything about that book is perfect for the big screen. Here’s the plot synopsis from the book’s dust jacket. I can truly say there is not a dull moment from cover to cover.

quote:

When a new NASA satellite spots evidence of an astonishingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic ice, the floundering space agency proclaims a much-needed victory… a victory that has profound implications for U.S. space policy and the impending presidential election. With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Milne Ice Shelf to verify the authenticity of the find. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic academic Michael Tolland, Rachel uncovers the unthinkable—evidence of scientific trickery—a bold deception that threatens to plunge the world into controversy. But before Rachel can contact the President, she and Michael are attacked by a deadly task force…a private team of assassins controlled by a mysterious powerbroker who will stop at nothing to hide the truth. Fleeing for their lives in an environment as desolate as it is lethal, they possess only one hope for survival: to find out who is behind this masterful ploy. The truth, they will learn, is the most shocking deception of all… In his most thrilling novel to date, bestselling author Dan Brown transports readers from the ultra-secret National Reconnaissance Office to the towering ice shelves of the Arctic Circle, and back again to the hallways of power inside the West Wing.

This is bullshite.

The only requirement is it be well-written and produced.

Nobody has decided to do this with Washington yet.

Apparently he is not interesting enough for that.

But John Adams got a series.

And if we are going away from written works, I still am working on my NOLA series with Lafitte, DeMarigny, Marie Laveau, Claiborne, etc.

Starts in 1807 and runs through the Battle of New Orleans in 1815.

Title will either be The Quarter or (my choice) Barataria.

I'd rather Crichton's Prey.

Crichton was a master at writing suspense.
