What would you trade to ensure Episode 9 is amazing?

I would easily allow the Saints to lose the super bowl in exchange for Star Wars being saved.
Would also allow a liberal victory in 2020 if I had to make a deal with the Devil for Star Wars sake. Any damage they do can be undone but this our last shot to save the franchise.
Make sure you work your karma balancing next Christmas and make whatever deals with spirits you have to.

I am one of those guys who had Star Wars change their entire childhood the moment the original Star Wars hit the theatres when I was 9 years old. I had all the action figures, all the vehicles, all the collectors card sets, everything.
Star Wars is dead to me and I don’t care what they do with it.
You took my childhood idol and made him into something that he was never meant to be.
I thought Disney would be a great thing for Star Wars. I could not have been more wrong.

I didn't hate TLJ with the fervor that most here did, but even I will say that Abrams will have to do some incredible gymnastics to make a movie that will wrap up this trilogy in a way that the majority of fans will accept and enjoy.
I'm rooting for him, but I do not envy him. If he does it, he needs every award ever

Lol. Star Wars is done no matter what JJ does here. You can;t go back on the hyperdrive weaponry. Even if he manages to undo everything else terrible, like maybe bringing Luke back to the version we deserve, you can't retcon that out of existence.

I do love Star Wars.
That having been said... you can't make an Author's Saving Throw on this one. Its dead and gone now. Unless Ahsoka shows up and pimp slaps everyone and even that probably won't work.
You can easily do an incredible trilogy or more by going back to the Knights of the Old Republic era.

An actually real criticism is why Snoke doesn’t have them in his fleet in the 1st place, which is a failing of idiot Hux. But that doesn’t ruin space combat in Star Wars. It’s a bad tactical decision, nothing more.
Because we know the Imperials never make bad decisions in the OT right?
I bet you wonder why the Germans didn’t just put flak 88s in every tank. It’s not that simple.

Nothing. Episode 8 burned any hope I had for the franchise. The only way I’d renew hope is if 9 retconned nearly all of Episode 8 and then Episode 10 was the true ending of the new set of movies

What?? Of all the ridiculous things in this movie, that didn't bother me in the least. It also made probably the coolest scene in the movie aside from maybe the Rey and Kylo fight scene.
