What the hell was Rudy's brother looking at in the last scene?

I love this movie. I know it's a classic, and yes, it brings the "single tear man feels"
But what on earth could Rudy's brother possibly be looking at during the most exciting moment of the entire film?
Starts around 1:13

It bothers me every single @E#$@# time I see it. How hard was it to have everyone looking in the same place for the shot? How do you not see this when you're editing? How does you not freaking see it when you're shooting?
This actually happens a lot - where someone (especilly in a crowd) looks to the wrong place or anticipates the moment of action and their eyes jump to a place ahead of the action/noise. Drives me crazy.

I love the black guy clapping at 1:39.
It's always stood out to me how terrible of a clapper he is

Fun fact: The guy over Rudy's dad's right shoulder with the black coat and the hat is the actual Rudy.

Drives me crazy. Rudy is one of my favorite movies but the pieced together game scenes and the nonsensical play sequence that would never happen in an actual game makes it almost too distracting to enjoy the end of that movie.

You must not watch a lot of LSU football.

This has also always bothered me but I still love the movie and have to watch it every time I see it on.
It also bothers me in football movies when I see plays where the uniforms look completely clean towards the end of the game when they've already been shown dirty the whole game. Details matter.

Les Miles would've crushed that clapping scene.
