The smallville world has been my favorite Superman storyline in TV/Movie.

I would love to see a movie of Preacher. Preferrably directed by Quentin Tarentino, Christopher Nolan, or the Wacshowski Brothers.

preacher was good and all but it was a little bit too depressing to me. seemed like it really went for shock only at some points. but i would love a preacher hbo series. should it be live action or animated ala the spawn series in the 90s

I'd like to see another Flash Gordon movie. the crappy Sci Fi channel series befouled it.

They'd have to keep the song, though. Gotta have the song.

The 2000's didn't become the decade of the superheroes because Hollywood suddenly realized that there were superheroes out there. It was because movie making technology finally caught up to the comics, making superheroes on screen something more than guys jumping around in tight suits.

Disney knows better than most that the technology will only get better, making their Marvel characters all the more valuable for future projects.

After about another decade of advances, I'd like to see Kirby's New Gods brought to the screen.

No. It was because they never missed at the box office. As was pointed out, even the shitty Spider-Man movie hit at the box office. The subject matter sells.

Just because CGI wasn't prominent 20 years ago doesn't mean special effects sucked. Actually, I prefer the models and animatronics to CGI. It looks more real because it IS real.

no the technology made the movies as well. why didnt the hero films of the 90s gross millions? because they looked cheesey and dumb. now they look real and believable. the material has always been the same...

Do you remember the live-action Spider-Man from 20 years earlier? Pocket mirrors for eyes, packaging twine for webbing...

Never missed at the box office? Still waiting for Rocketeer II, Darkman II, The Shadow II... All of those were supposed to be franchise starters.

agreed on Preacher t.v. series. I also wish the "Lost" people would take on "Y:The Last Man" as another project.

As far as traditional superheroes, I wouldn't mind seeing one on Black Panther.

You think it was the special effects that made those movies suck? Come on. They were just flat out crappy. CGI wouldn't have saved any of them.

The Batman movies were shite on a stick, regardless of special effects. However, both made money at the box office.

Blade started a franchise, and hit it big at the box office. Spawn sucked, as did Judge Dredd, but the latter turned a profit as well.

Better special effects would not have changed this.
