Rob Roy - Came out the same summer as Braveheart and was completely overshadowed but great movie.

The Man Who Would Be King - I do love my Kipling.

Drugstore Cowboy - I'm not a superstitous man but if I ever see a hat on a bed, I'm outta here. You'll never see me again.

Can we make room for a CBS miniseries? If so

Godfather I or II. I get so drawn into those movies, I forget that they are fake.

I caught Lonesome Dove a few months ago and yes it's still as awesome as when it first came out. I don't guess TV movies like that will ever be made again.

Watching the action scenes in Top Gun and it still amazes me that they were shot 27 years ago.

Because it was real film of real airplanes, really flying - not fakey, cartoonish CGI crap that is supposed to look "real" but most definitely doesn't.

Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) are both classics even though they're in different genres with different directors. Of course it helps that both feature supreme badass Sigourney Weaver.
