By all rights this movie should be considered cheesy as can be but I find it to be brilliant. Every now and then a parody nails it

I think it does a perfect job of both lampooning Star Trek/trekkies and paying homage to the genre.

I love it. Tim Allen’s movies can be hit or miss but this one stands out. The entire cast does a perfect job in their roles.

There’s a cool little documentary floating around on Prime about Galaxy Quest. Really solid, and it’s interesting to see some of the actors from Star Trek series talk about how it should actually be considered one of the best(if not the best) Star Trek movie made.
