TOP 5 IMO

1. Avatar: The Last Airbender (I know it doesn't have the "classic" factor but still a great series.)
2. Dragonball Z
3. Doug
4. Rugrats
5. A tie between a lot of other cartoons (TMNT, Hey Arnold, Tom and Jerry, Rocket Power, Looney Toons classics, Scooby Doo, Ronin Warriors, Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons, etc)

1) Looney Tunes (even if it technically isn't an animated series)
2) The Simpsons
3) Batman: The Animated Series
4) South Park
5) Avatar: The Last Airbender (Really, really good animated series, although the first 10 episodes can get a little too kiddie at times).

As far as humor and quality is concerned, these 5 reign supreme.

Can you give me the years? Animated Batman has had many versions. Unfortunatly, not all of them have been great.

The definitive one? It is easily the closest anyone, including Nolan, has ever gotten to who the Dark Knight really is.

I think Beavis and Butthead should be included on this list.

Sorry, but I already have. The Simpsons are one of the greats.

Yes, The Simpsons were good for about the first 7 or 8 seasons, and then the writing to a big turn for the worse IMHO. I'm amazed they are still on. I don't think I know one person who regularly watches the show or has watched the show in the past +10 years.

That is a generality and a blanket statement that has no validity. LINK

The Simpsons are not making the weekly top ten, anymore, but they are still pulling a 6.2. That is impressive for a show that has been on for 21-22 years.

I love the 90's X-Men for what it was: the comics put directly to the screen.

But Batman: TAS was so much more than that. Primarily, it was it's own interpretation of the material. And secondly, it went past immature comic storylines most of the time.

I liked 90s X-Men, but 90s Batman kicks the shite out of it. Its really not even debatable as far as the quality of each series is concerned. Batman the Animated Series is the best dramatic animated series of all time.

No.

But it still worked like one.

Freaux, have you seen Batman: Behind the Red Hood. Probably one of the best animated Batman stories I have come across.

Good call. Should be in the discussion.

Also, Tale Spin's ability to mash pulp comics, with the jungle book and cartoons in general is way underrated.
