I just finished Breaking Bad a while back, ran through Better call Saul as well. Probably the best series I’ve watched. Would like to get into another one.

There isn't a better a series, IMO. Debated with several friends that it is better than GOT...feeling pretty good about my stance now.

AMC hit it out of the park with BB and Mad Men. So if you haven't seen Mad Men I'd check that out.

It’s my pick for #1, but there are a couple of other shows that I can’t say are wrong picks either

There isn't. The wire is REALLY good, though. It would probably be the best if breaking bad didn't exist.

There is only so much TV a guy can watch. I remember going with Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy instead of Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Yeah, that was dumb. I have yet to see an episode of either show and have actually been able to ignore spoilers. I now get to go back and experience them both. I'm looking forward to it.

I just found Mad Men on the Firestick. Looks like it will be good, definitely going to check it out. Got to have some stuff to watch in between LSU baseball and football. Thanks a lot.

Breaking Bad is the GOAT

The final season of The Wire disqualifies it from consideration.

Breaking Bad wasn't even the best show on TV when it was on

The show ended well so it gets a bump because it’s the last thing people remember. Breaking bad had one main story line with limited characters/plots. It doesn’t have the depth of some of the other great shows. It doesn’t compare to GOT or the Sopranos and The Wire.

Sopranos is better by a good stretch. The writing is better and Gandolfini blows Cranston away.

I haven't found one.
Others have been close but none other was as satisfying.

As well as it ended, the first thing that comes to mind when thinking Breaking Bad is Walt vs Gus seasons

I wouldn’t really argue against those 3 shows, but to act like Breaking Bad doesn’t even compare is absurd. It’s hard for me to take someone seriously when they throw in the “not even close” type statements when discussing stuff like this

The Americans is EXCELLENT. It came out 8 months before BB ended. So I don't think it ever usurped BB for "Best Show on TV" but I still second that recommendation. All seasons available on Prime, that and Mad Men would keep you busy for a while.

The Americans is the one highly acclaimed show I still need to watch
