The first half.

The second half was laughably bad.

And I liked The Strangers...thought it was legitimately creepy. Not "scary" or a horror really, but it was a good suspense movie.

The last "scary" movie I saw was Event Horizon.

The 70's were the golden age of horror movies in my opinion. In all the "classic" horror movies from the 70's and early 80's directors seemed to understand that leading you up to something and then not actually showing it to you forced you to "fill in the blank" with whatever scared you the most. The orignal Halloween movies as well as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre are perfect expamples of this. There is virtually no blood and gore in any of these movies.

There were a good couple of parts in The Grudge that got
me and alot of people. We watched it in the theatres and made bunch of people jump and scream. But besides those parts the movie sucked

this. I guess a lot of people saw the masks and expected some typical slasher flick set in the middle of the woods.

I hope this new nightmare on elm street might be ok.Im not gonna have high hopes for it though.Like someone said earlier the original tcm and halloween were some of my favorites.I even tried to get into some of that overseas stuff. Its all about gore and you cant figure out what the crap is going down in those.
