Wasn't expecting much, didn't get much. It was worth one watch though.

I was given low expectations going in, and thought it was pretty funny.

It was weak. So much potential with the 80s stuff, but they really half-assed it and just went with a bunch of cliche stuff.

Really, no one liked it all the much.

I'll be honest, I love this movie. Not as good as the Hangover, but it's up there on that Mount Rushmore of recent comedy films that I had very low expectations for which all turned out to be great I though...Superbad, Pineapple Express, Hangover, and HTTM.

A movie is pretty bad when the best part is the credits (Motley Lou)

I enjoyed it, pretty good way to disguise a fairly absurd plot premise.

Liked the Chevy Chase character better when he was Don Knotts or Christopher Walken or Dick Van Dyke.

Watched it the first time and thought it was ok. Watched it one more time and enjoyed it more.

It really is a lot funnier the than The Hangover, IMO, but most will disagree because "Zach G is soooo funny!!!!"

I loved it, but have to admit I liked the Hangover more on the first viewing. However, it has great rewatchability unlike the Hangover and I find HTTM funnier each time I watch it again. Therefore, HTTM > Hangover.

Thought it was hilarious. Especially the parts when the guy kept almost losing his arm and the way chevy chase kept hinting ab the time machine.

Man, comedy is sooooo subjective. I loved this movie and thought it was hilarious. I liked it much more than the Hangover. That might be partly to the over hyping of the Hangover, but HTTM has >>>>>> rewatch-ability.

Back to my original comment, that comedy is sooooo subjective. I thought Due Date was terrible.

I think I might watch HTTM tonight. The movie is so awesome. Not to mention the boob scenes!

2. The ending was dumb, and completely illogical. Not that it really mattered, because the movie was a movie about a HTTM.

There are some folks on a few film message boards who speculate that the entire movie is comprised of Lou's fantasy vision as he slowly dies in the suicide attempt at the start of the film.
The theory is that he actually does kill himself and that his final thoughts are of a big weekend with his friends at a time before his life went in the toilet.

One "example" used is the fact that Lou is listening to "Home Sweet Home" on the radio in the car as he drifts out -- and the last image of the film, is him as a rock star playing "Home Sweet Home" in a shot for shot recreation of a video and for a song that already existed before they "went back in time" and changed their futures.

It's a stretch, I know... but I thought it was amusing as far as outlandish movie over-analysis goes.
