but i always roll my eyes at how people feel hangovers in tv/movies.
kind of related to that one is how people react to smoking weed in most movies.
all the sudden the word turns into a cartoon and they start hallucinating all kinds of shite.
WTF?

When they find a car and the keys are always in there. Such nonsense. No one leaves their keys in the car.

Leaving in shots where extras stare right into the camera.
Especially in big films like The Godfather and Jaws.

Have you seen any of the videos of people getting their cars stolen in NOLA. Apparently, it happens a lot more than you would think

Then there's the action movies where the hero is in a firefight with 35 enemy soldiers and he's by himself, yet never gets hit when thousands of rounds are heading his way.
I watched the 355 this weekend. It wasn’t terrible, but in the climax, numerous times the bad guys had the drop on the heroine from behind and then the heroine turned around and shot the bad guy. They are bad guys, they have no problem shooting somebody in the back. I saw the same thing in the final fight in Reacher.
It’s plot armor and it drives me nuts.

Don't know about angry but do people really never say goodbye before hanging up a phone?
Posted on 3/3/22 at 9:36 am to Jor Jor The Dinosaur
Anytime the hero is about to take on a group of bad guys in hand-to-hand combat and instead of bumrushing him and overwhelming him with their numbers, they attack him one at a time. Martial arts movies tend to be the worst offenders here.

Yeah that shite is the worst.
#1 - Hey what's up?
#2 - Not much are you coming to the show today?
#1 - Yes.
#2 - *hangs up phone*
Here's another that drives me crazy
#1 - "Hello police? My girlfriend is missing!!!! I think she's been kidnapped!!! The house is a mess and her purse and phone are still here!!!!"
#2 - "Sorry kid. You need to wait 24 hours before we can declare her missing. She probably just went out with her friends."
Umm nope. That's not how it works IRL.

Movies where a character gets shot and continues to maneuver as if a lead projectile isn't severely disrupting their body.
Also, how quickly they seem to recover from said shooting.

Just a flesh wound. It went through and through.

getting away from the "angry" thing.
people never finish a cigarette or food and rarely finish a drink.

Virtually any war movies action scenes. Bad guys can't kill a guy with 1000 machine gun rounds shooting at him 20 feet away, fire ball explosions that throw someone through the air and they simply shake it off and get up without being riddled with shrapnel or their organs destroyed from the overpressure of the blast, mortars/artillery giving people a whistling warning before they strike, people being shot in the arm/shoulder and they're back in the fight fully using that arm minutes later, never having to reload, uniform patches and awards that make no sense, depiction of military members as mindless automatons blindly following orders, basically every single thing in the Hurt Locker, etc

Watched every episode of Louie in anger because he threw away that slice of pizza in the opening segment each week.

that's a good one. some of them react like they got bit by a mosquito.

One of the many reasons why this movie is a classic.

Hackers can hack anything in less than 12 seconds.
Any presence of a cop is always preceded by a quick "wooop!" of a siren.
All grocery bags have a stick of french bread sticking out so the dumbass audience knows it is groceries. I hadn't noticed this one until someone here pointed it out, now it drives me crazy.

cops are looking for a perp. they spot the perp from 20-30 ft away. perp doesn't see them.
cop shouts John Doe! police!
perp runs away and police have to chase.

I watched an interview with some cast members of some show I can't recall YEARS ago that spoke to this. Basically said pretending to eat was always the hardest part of most dining scenes. The food is always cold from being placed on set long before the shoot and it's not natural as you can't eat and talk like a normal human, as it distracts from the dialog and creates bad shots.
