Not precisely wrong, but they'll (Showrunners and/or IMBD) mask stuff like that to avoid spoiling anything. Hopkins wasn't listed as a member of the cast this season until he appeared on screen to avoid giving away that Ford would appear in season 2.
Yeah, I meant more just that IMDB is not necessarily a reliable source of information. Especially on something that contradicts what you see on screen.

Wasn't the whole spying on people and profiling them specifically a Delos project though? It's possible the park was open and had some visitors and struggling until Delos came in, and that's when they started tracking all the data. Subject 1 could still be Logan but that doesn't necessarily mean they were the first visitors.

We know that was the case. William and Jim visit Sweetwater right after Logan commits to buying in. The Arnold massacre is, I believe, even before that

Ahh, very good point.
It's all an aside from this week's episode, though. Just something I spotted from the screenshot. Sorry for derailing the thread.

Wait, you think they showed her mom put it in a box moments before killing herself and you think she then took it back out of that box and left it for her daughter?
Let me try again. She left the card in the ballerina box, where her daughter would find it after she died. All Emily said was that her mother left it for her. Just going by...what's actually in the show.

Still a pretty important detail I'd say to have on there. We probably won't find out for some time though.

Maybe it was a host mother that killed herself (keeping with the theme of the episode) and Emily was given the box on a different date by a different mother (before or after).
The whole conversation between William and Emily is just confusing - and it is meant to be that way. First Emily "wants in" on the whole eternity thing, then she wants to turn her father in. She says it is her fault her mother died and a regret is throwing away the box, then the box is there. Then they don't show us her scan before blowing her and everyone else away. Why didn't William use the same healing kit that helped him to heal his daughter's wounds if he thought she was real? Why didn't he just check her scan? Or cut her arm?
Why put Hopkins even in the scene where the mom is spilling drinks all over the place if not to have him figure out a way to use her at some point in the game?
Emily or the mom (or both) may be host. Or not. Ha.
I guess we'll all find out in time - hopefully next week.

They clearly showed William being cleared as human but never did show the result for Emily.
I need someone to refresh my memory. Didn’t one of the Bernards pass this very same test early in the season? If so, I am not convinced William is a guest even after passing the test. If MIB is a host this is really mind blowing and when did the guest William get swapped out? This show man.

The handheld device checks to see if they have the explosive device that hosts are supposed to have attached to their spine.
So theoretically, it doesn't necessarily clear them as human, just clears that they don't have the device hosts are supposed to have. That's a theory I've read, anyway, based on a close up of the scanner.

Yes, presumably if you were going to build a host to pretend to be human, you would build them to pass those scanners.

This is definitely overthinking it
Either Emily finds the box and knows her mother left the card for her and leaves that out of her story, or she was a host with a fake card because she implies that she never saw the box again.

I think at this point some people are just trolling with convoluted fan theories. The reddit sub is full of them.
Posted on 6/18/18 at 6:54 pm to PowerTool
To be fair both reddit and TD were spot on last year with Bernard being a host and William being the MIB. I guess success got to their heads.
Posted on 6/18/18 at 7:03 pm to PowerTool
OK, I went back and got a screen shot, you are absolutely correct. Why would they use this as a host test instead of an Ipad with wifi to scan the "brain" like they do in the lab? Oh well, I guess I will go with it.

Posted on 6/18/18 at 7:24 pm to YankeeHandle
Interesting. So Maeve would be cleared. There may be a plot-based reason they’re using that.

Last season there were some major leaks early on. Some web critic/hype guy got a hold of some advanced material, supposedly on accident. So some people were posting their "theories" after reading the leaks, not even watching the show.
I think the showrunners have done a better job keeping things under wraps this year. I mean, we weren't even expecting Anthony Hopkins back.

Problem with this is he has made some Decisions this season that the info Delos would have would not have made. Such as saving a couple of the host and some of the redemption things he did to make up for his evil past earlier in the season. Those are the kind of things that wouldn’t have lined up with a host William who was created based off of years of being a scumbag in the park
Maybe the MIB is Delos's copy of himself, that they were letting grow.

I just had a thought. What if the meetings with insane Jim Delos down in the lab were not to baseline Jim Delos? What if that was the setup Delos Corp. was using to baseline William over and over to see if they got HIM right?
Because young William was doing those with Delos. William would have to be the first host to age.

I’m not convinced Emily was human.
The ghost nation saved her. Wouldn't they have known if she was a host? The shot of her mom putting the card in the jewelry box was supposed to show how she got it.

He did. The real card was in the box Emily thought was taken out in the trash. She would have known where it was if she had the real card.
The mom willed the jewelry box to Emily after she killed herself.
