And I really don’t know how this show is going to be “Westworld” anymore or continue on
Why are you ppl so stuck on the show name? You know it was never just about the romanization of the American West?

The point is that I was mostly bored and uninterested in nearly every character this season. Akecheta’s episode was one moment of genuine emotional investment ina character in a season that is otherwise devoid of anything that draws you in.
I hate that episode. It is the bottom 2 for me. IDGAF about the same type of storyline as Maeve.

The crazy part was I was actually happier for him making it back to his wife than I was for Maeve’s kid getting out and their “moment”.

Maybe the season paced better with binge watching or maybe I’m just a super genius - I thought the season was well done and captivating. Some of it was drawn out and much like season 1, Maeve was kind of a waste of time.
From what I’ve read in this thread and threads on Reddit, I didn’t miss anything about the plot or the twists. I did watch the entire season in 3 days though and just finished.
I could definitely see how the multiple timelines storytelling could grate someone’s nerves though.

Crackpot theory: he killed himself in the tub
Not that crackpot imo. I actually was gonna predict that before the finale. Last episode he hid his card in the book Slaughterhouse Five, which has a famously unreliable narrator—Billy Pilgrim. Hell, the 1st sentence of the book is “All this happened, more or less.” I thought for sure the big reveal was gonna be that William had actually died in the bathtub, but wasn’t able to accept it.
But I don’t think it makes sense to wait until next season to show it, so that’s out the window. We know William is dead at the end. But “when” is that at? And when exactly did he actually die? Or does it even matter at this point?
This may have all been discussed, I’m still on page 3 after finally getting to the finale last night.

Why does everyone get so worked up over someone dying?
You do realize they are coming back the next episode, right?
To me, this is the biggest flaw of the show—we’re just not emotionally invested in these characters. Besides the fact that almost all of them are unlikable assholes, their continuous resurrections make us numb to any perceived consequence they may be going through at that particular moment. I’m sure they wanted us to get the feels when Maeve held everybody up for her daughter to pass, then sacrificed herself. Nope. Nothing. The show lacks heart.

The wrong heart for many people, I find myself pulling for the hosts and love delores.
Season 1 was obviously better but I still really enjoyed Season 2 and its still my favorite show around.

You're a walking contradiction. You can't pull for the hosts and love the host that wanted to kill them all (and succeeded in killing a lot before the Valley).
It was Valley hosts vs Dolores vs Delos.

They're in the real world now, so (I think) everything should be presented more linearly moving forward in regards to Delores and Bernard.
Highly doubt it. They will find a way to crowbar the "valley" and skip around from "the real world" as opposed to a simulation of the real world that looks identical but its fake, trust that. They have to have a sense of "wtf" or it isn't westworld.

That was another good takedown.
I'm glad someone else brought up the 4 million number. 4 million visitors to an exclusive elite adventure park in 30 years? Yeah, doubt it.
I'm more convinced than ever that Nolan and Joy lost track of their own storyline and were just doing things every week that they thought looked cool on screen.

But it is 6 parks. We don't know the appeal of the others.

How did Teddy drown and make it to the other side? That’s the only question I want answered for now.
She took his brain/ball out of him when he died. Remember the slug she sabotaged MIB's gun with. She got that when she removed Teddy from his body.
She them uploaded Teddy into the program. The guy said the hosts cross over but their bodies don't. That's why the bodies were in the water. they show the bodies falling off a cliff as they cross over to the new world.

He either knew he killed his daughter or knew that both were hosts. I’m leaning towards the first because they confirmed it by showing her body in the human pile.
The poster you responded to is talking about the scene after the credits of the show. William was given a fidelity test in a lab at the very end of the show.
If your viewership ended with Bernard opening the gate of the place you missed a BIG SCENE of the show.
