From the front she's beautiful...her profile looks like Paul Pfifer though.
Yeah, her facial beauty is definitely dependent on the angle from which she is viewed. Her eyes and cheekbones are nice, but her lower face is too angular and narrow or something. Definitely well built below the neck, though.

quote:I thought in Ep 2, there was a discussion about dreams. The workers commented that the hosts don't really dream, they are given that concept to smooth over any potential retention of older storylines, and to explain away any retention of interaction with the workers when they get worked on.
quote:
Some may say it's Maeve, but she is only this far because of her being exposed to the outside world below the park first hand and seeing it herself.
Well and what Dolores whispered to her to make her start acting out
But Maeve made a comment about counting back from 3, to dispel the dream and wake up. And later that episode, she woke up in the service area, when they were working on her... like she had figured out a way to override her programming or something. Not intentionally, she was trying to control her flashbacks to some other story... but she did it inside, and woke up then.
It definitely seems like there is an entirely different level of sentience in the hosts. They are programmed to behave "human", and there are certain standards of behavior they are acting with.
But like a lot of computer geeks can tell you, most memory devices can be wiped, and still have residual traces of data, even after being overwritten. Flash memory can only be overwritten so many times. If they are starting to get leak-through, this would be like a form of psychosis (like the host that didn't die, but killed the hosts that had previously killed him in the past).
You keep looping instead of progressing, if the hosts become self-aware (and apparently they are beginning to), they're gonna go nuts.

Ok, bumping this thread since I finally caught up.
Couple of observations: the Wyatt effect. He's mot "killing" hosts, he's stringing them up alive. That's going to seriously alter the Teddy storyline, as he can't be recycled until he's dead.
Also, Delores is off the loop; there was clearly a recall sent on her (the sheriff, you're lost), and she's safe as long as she's with William. She's going to evolve a lot beyond her programming during this run.
Observations about "Arnold" or whoever... the dysfuntioning host who didn't die, who was talking to Arnold.
Somebody told Delores to shoot the outlaw... we hear "shoot him".
Is Arnold alive, in the center of the maze? Is Ford trying to find him? Is MiB going to be set up to go after him, and will he have final control over who ultimately runs the "park"... which is to say, does he get to choose who God is?
I've seen discussion of whether William is MiB, but there seems to be overlap in the control booth regarding both players, so I think they're in the same time.

The real question is will we see Harry Mudd?

Arnold perfected his plan to bring true consciousness to the hosts, uploaded himself into the system and even though he died he is now the 'ghost in the machine' responsible for the glitches and.. If past HBO is any indicator, will lead the hosts to a bloody awakening at some point.
I think Anthony Hopkins's character is communicating with Arnold through his pet hosts and is well aware of what Arnold has planned and is either helping or using this information for his own agenda.
Just like, my opinion and junk.

Yeah - that's at least 2 we've seen where he left them alive, more or less crucified.
quote:
Is Arnold alive, in the center of the maze?
I think Arnold found a way to make his consciousness survive. Some of these fragmented memories might be his way of communicating with the broken hosts. Not sure. A reveal of "Arnold is still alive" is probably too simple and too straightforward for a show like this.
quote:
Is Ford trying to find him?
I think Ford knows most of the deal. That scene where he creeped out the QA b-word lady creeped me out. That's the scene they hired Sir Anthony for. Some of the best we've seen from a, "This is fricking good" standpoint.
quote:

Well, he's trying to win the game. Maybe this is some Willy Wonka test that Ford has set up for the succession - pitting Bernie vs QA lady vs MiB for ultimate control of the "world" - but I don't think we have enough evidence of this yet. Once we get to the maze, which I don't think is far - episode 6 or 7 at the latest, we will probably have more clues.
ETA: Episode 4 adds another piece of the "MiB is special, even for a wealthy guest" - standpoint. Previously, Thor's brother said, "THAT gentleman gets whatever he wants." Now, we have other guests recognizing MiB from the outside world as a big deal, so modern day billionaire level wealthy.
So, is he considering investing in the park? Is that what the board is coming in to talk about? Is that why he's planning on never leaving - if he figures it out, he's going to buy the park and "move in"?
Everyone has an agenda.
