So far S2 pacing is better. I'm glad I stuck with it.
Season 2 is great. You start getting into the main storyline. Season 3 is fantastic but would have been much better if it wasn't for the writers strike and shortened season.

Loved the show. It’s a bit like the X-Files having a monster of the week format with an overarching storyline behind it. Really good supporting characters, with some fan service episodes thrown in as well. The writers really respected the fans.

So far, it seems to be a "monster of the week" type of show. Does the format remain like that for all 15 seasons?
Also, without spoilers, is the series finale a good payoff? I don't want to invest time in a show this long only to get Game of Throned at the end.
Dude, did you get laid off recently? That's a long running show that aired on the CW. I think I watched maybe 4 or 5 seasons when it was airing and I can't be assed to watch the remaining ten, and I enjoyed the show. That's just too much of a time investment.

I just finished a full rewatch. First 5-6 seasons are the best. They still do maybe half monster of the week but mostly they start a long drawn out 15 year plot.

The dean Winchester Spotify Playlist is great.

Yeah they go back to season one almost every season. The yellow eyed Demon from the first season really sets the heaven vs hell angle.
Once Crowley and Castiel join the cast it really gets great.

Starting a rewatch after quitting about 12 years ago around season 7. Forgot how much of a whiny bitch Sam is and looking forward to future seasons i remember enjoying more. Luckily ive forgotten most of it. I do the skip forward 10 seconds a lot to get through the slow walking dueing creepy music parts.

That was how many shows were built during that time. I am doing a rewatch of House and it did the same thing. Supernatural is one I have never gone past a few episodes in season 2 and may need to do that next

Supernatural or Fringe? I have not seen either.

Love x files but supernatural took what x files did and made it better and with more likable characters and overall story
Supernatural and fringe. Both are excellent shows.

Both. Many shows were started with a monster of the week theme until the overall sotry arch came into play. Tough to do that now with 8 or 10 show seasons
