Yep. Like I told my wife, why do they take a great story that doesn't need any embellishments and frick it up with all the sensationalism?

You don't understand how a snipers life works. They may wait for days or months without one sighting. The movie has to bridge some gaps and they do it with a little action.

I mean Jesus, if you can't sit down in a movie and play make believe for 2 hours, something is wrong.

I felt the same after reading and seeing The Pelican Brief. Screw you Julia Roberts!

It was entertaining. I´d imagine the real story is boring, and could be told in fifteen minutes.

When the movie was over, my wife asked me if all of that really happened, and I said, "No, pretty much all of it was made up."

Well if it makes you feel better most of the book was made up too

I wouldn't say they didn't happen. But for a sniper to go door to door clearing rooms, if that's happens it must be a very bad day

I read the book dude, I know about their endless hours of watching for a threat. Sorry if I like movies to be accurate and realistic. If I want to watch fiction, I watch fiction.

American sniper was the tits. I mean he killed people and had a dip in the entire movie and never once did he spit.

I have no desire to see this movie. I expected it to be exactly how you described it.

Because watching him sit on a rooftop for 2 hours where nothing happens would make bank at the theaters.

When you compare a book to a movie, there's a pretty high probability for disappointment. It's difficult to do but honestly you have to some extent check your expectations at the door if for no other reason than it's 2 completely different forms of media that often don't translate well.
