Seemed quirky enough that it could be perfect for Nick Cages over the top style. Anyone check it out?

It was solid. Awkafina is annoying as usual, but Cage and Hoult are fun enough to makeup for it. And Brandon Scott Jones (revolutionary war officer from Ghosts) is great in his role.

As cringe as Awkwafina is in everything she does, I do get a laugh or two every now and again from her. Definitely worth a watch.

I thought it would suck, had really low expectations.

Sorta liked it.

Definitely worth a single viewing if you think you might like it.

It wasn't

It was mediocre, and did nothing to help repair vampirism caused by twilight and underworld.

It was fine. Could have been better. Hoult was great. Honestly Cage didn’t do it for me.

She absolutely had no business being in this role of a city cop. Terribly miscast.

The movie was decent, but I was expecting better.

Are you upset about the current state of “vampirism?”

This is an odd post and I would like to hear your views on the subject.

I watched the first half last night. So far it’s not bad, although I did turn it off bc I was falling asleep. So far it’s pretty much what I expected, I don’t think Aquafina is horrible in the role and she seems to be toned down a little bit at least. I do wish it was a different actor, she shouldn’t be in the straight man role of a buddy comedy, and she shouldn’t be the love interest in a romantic comedy, and it seems like this movie is sort of both.

Aside from horrible casting of the annoying cop, it’s an enjoyable ride. Cage is over the top as only Cage can be. The violence and bloodshed echo Tarantino’s style.

It was fun. If it’s bad, it’s the good kind of bad.

Not as good as it should have been, but it was fun in a very hokey lame way.

Renfield is an enjoyable watch.

Cage and Hoult deliver great performances for a mid-level comedy.

Brandon Scott Jones is a standout as the support group leader.

Awkwafina is toned down and is really there as a support role.

Ben Schwartz is, as always, Ben Schwartz.

I thought that it was hilarious. Laughed throughout. Fun movie, and cool that its set in NOLA.
