Vincent Vega's need for a black magic marker

I was thinking about this movie recently, and it occurred to me that it made no sense for Vincent Vega to need a black magic marker to give the adrenaline shot To Uma Thurman's character. I'm sure I'm just late in realizing this. So what is the significance, if any, of Vega insisting on getting something to mark on her chest with?

You really think you need is a marker to hit the right spot? He was short on time. All he needed to do is pinch or something if he needed a Mark. I question that he needed any kind of Mark. The heart is about the size of a fist. it doesn't have to be fricking precise. Now granted, he did need to get through the ribs, but why Slam down from above like that? if you needed to the ribs it seems like just pressing it in from the surface level would be smarter. I'm just saying the whole thing seems kind of silly in retrospect.

It's been a while, but I was really just thinking about that one scene without thinking about the rest of the movie. But even if you're high, and you're trying to play doctor, you don't fricking Jam it in from the sky. You just press it in. it's a fricking needle. A heroin user should know that. I realize it makes to see more dramatic, and that's probably all there is to it. But Tarantino could've made the scene just as dramatic without having the bit about the magic marker. It could've been something else that's more realistic. So I'm taking it must be some significant specifically to the magic marker are using a marker in that situation.

And that is one of the intricacies of this scene. I think there's more to it than meets The eye. Like they'res supposed to be some symbolism there.

No there isn't. You are overthinking this wayyyy too much.
Besides, if you really want to break it down, there was almost nothing in that scene that was medically 'realistic'.

After Jody gets the adrenaline and finds the little black nursing handbook, Lance emphasizes to Vincent that he has to penetrate Mia's breastplate/sternum "with a stabbing motion". ("Three times?!?")
Vincent tries to get Lance to do the injection, but Lance refuses, saying something like, "When I bring a fricked up poobah to YOUR house, I'll give the shot."
However medically unrealistic, it's a great scene.
V: "So she'll come right out of it?"
L: "I'm curious about that myself."

A direct shot of adrenaline to the heart, and spanking H aren't anything alike at all.
That being said, his adrenaline probably would have taken over at this point, and he really wouldn't have felt especially high.
Either way, you're nitpicking.
