2 episodes in and I'm liking this sequel.
I won't add any specific spoilers but they've paid homage to the main original characters.
We plan to binge this tonight. Weather permitting we're lighting up the fire pit and watching this outside on the back porch.

I never really considered William the Conqueror to be a Viking. He was a descendant of Rollo, but I think the transition from Viking to Norman had been pretty complete by his time.

2 episodes in and I like it. It feels like Vikings and I like Leif and Harald, but none of the characters seem like they have the potential to be on the level of Ragnar, Rollo and Lagertha.
That trio made the original great. Unless the story is great, this will just be a good sequel. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I mean none of these people were actually “Vikings” I thought all these historical shows have pretty much made that common knowledge at this point.
He was the direct descendent of Norse invaders, but yes he was born in France so I guess you could say he was French if you wanted to and be technically correct.
