This is where you can tell they have no idea about the source material. She must have read a two paragraph synopsis of Sue’s whole history.
Sue is the blend of motherly/feminine and kick-arse/intelligence. It’s the way these things pull and come info conflict that make her great. Kirby is reinventing something already inherent to the character to make it appear to be something groundbreaking. We have had major movie female action heroes for 40-50 years now. Hell Ripley in aliens is perfect and still these idiots spout off not knowing anything. At this point have to assume these are talking points provided by Disney.

No, they completely understand. The biggest mistake people make is believing these people are just doing this out of ignorance or some sort of blindness. No, that's not true at all, they know exactly what they're doing and subversion and the inversion of reality is the entire point.
They aren't trying to create a story from existing reality or time tested values, they're attempting to "wishcast" the inversion of actual reality.
In every dialogue, detail, casting, etc. They seek out the established reality and flip it upside down.
This is how you get masculine hero roles given to feminine , the movie centers on the feminine and has to place a handicap on the man.
What makes me laugh is the feminine centered movies are completely unable to maintain their own allure without showing the disparagement of a man. The female-centric plots almost always require the disparagement of men and it's the most obvious sign of its ugliness and uninteresting theme.

It would take something very special to get me in a theater these days. haven't seen anything in theaters since End Game.
Even shite that looks good I'd rather wait til I'm home and it's streaming to watch.

He could go back and do the same thing with any star wars ever created (and likely has).
Yet you only wanna point out the flaws in the newer stuff scene by scene for reasons unknown.
Go to any of your 70s westerns and they will have stuff that doesnt make sense if you dig deeply into every single part like your critical drinkers of the world do for shows like rings of power

I mean i can call out the dumb shite that happens in The Prestige. It doesnt make the movie worse. Its entertainment. Part of the agreement between creator and viewer is we know its just for fun.
When you start dissecting it like "why is Morgan Freeman Red in the movie? Is this cuz Hollywood agenda to make us accept black people?" you lose sight of the entire point, which is to have something to take your mind off of the real world.
