This movie is one of the all time underrated comedies. Yes, I know tons of folks have seen it, but it should be ranked higher among the great ones.

One of my all time favorite comedy’s. Russell was great and the old man that played both brothers.

I remember the first time I ever saw it and I’ve watched it ever chance I get since.

Jack Warden played two parts brilliantly ... he was really in his acting prime when he made this flick not long after, or before, the one with Warren Beatty and the English girl about reincarnation, football player, Diane Carrol or Cannon, and the accountant guy can’t remember his name. Heaven Can Wait I think it was.

But yeah, Used Cars is absolutely one of my favorite movies and it’s not just a comedy although it has some really funny scenes.

Yup. He was the assistant coach or trainer I believe. And that was a damned good movie also.

Uh, well, yes. As I say, Inspector, I heard this large explosion and I rushed out, I couldn't tell what was going on. I saw the car over there in flames and all these strange little characters, you know, with towels on their heads, weird little goatees and stuff, running around yelling: "Ayatollah, Ayatollah." Then they all got in a car and drove away. I guess it was Iranian students out to discredit the American way of life. I can't imagine who else would do such a thing.

Yep .... what’s his name, Captain Nemo, Star is Born, was in the movie too.

And in Used Cars Jack Warden played the fricks brothers. I think Barbie fricks was his daughter. Lol

Another great Jack Warden part was in another highly underrated movie IMHO .... Things to do in Denver when you’re Dead. He was like the narrator sitting at the table at the diner.

He played great parts in so many movies though.

I'll tell you something. This country is going to the dogs. You know, it used to be when you bought a politician, that son of a bitch stayed bought.

One of my favorites from that movie.

And the set up for that line was equally classic.

"We had nuns protesting us."

"Nuns?!?"

"Yeah, I had Jake turn the firehose on them."

Just a tremendous comedy with great performances from the cast.

It was also the start of an amazing run of live action roles for Kurt Russell. Used Cars, Escape from New York, The Thing, and Silkwood. 4 wildly different movies and he was awesome in all of them.

I always crack up when he’s greeting the different customers and changing his last name to match their ethnicity.

Love the movie. Oddly enough lots of people my age that I know haven't seen it (mid 30s). The nun part almost puts me on the floor every time.
