Because it showed A LOT of behind the scenes stuff that the average fan (me) don’t ever get to see. That’s why it was fascinating to me

Have they gotten to the part where the SEC fricked Arkansas out of road win at Fla in 2009 to keep their precious Tebow media hype machine alive?

Urban may have been a hard arse, hur Petrino is the devil.

I figured this wasn't going to cast Florida in a bad light when I saw Tebow and Meyer were attached to it.

My guess is most non-Gator fans won't care much for this one.

I can't find it in the UF recruitment brochures either. Hunh.

If this were a Florida produced doc I would get leaving that out. It wasn’t, it was a Netflix doc so they should have explored one of the most intriguing parts of these teams.

Even having teammates say it was a shock to hear that he killed people cuz he was a hard worker and good teammate would be fine but to not mention it was weird to me.

They’re killing this story by overhyping the importance of that team.

Just to add to that theme of unnecessary hype, Tebow calls LSU’s 2007 defense one of the greatest in CFB history. I don’t think if it’s one of the 5 best defenses for LSU alone this century.

And they killed the story by not telling the story. You presented us with 4 eps about Meyer’s Florida teams. The only way those teams are worthy of 3-4 hours is if we talk about the off field issues.

I don’t know if any of those Florida squads cracks the top 5 SEC teams since 1999 when the BCS started. The team that beat OU might be borderline on it. The 4-5 year stretch they focused on in the doc isn’t even close to the most successful or interesting (unless you bring in the off field issues) such stretch by an SEC team since 1999 - UGA currently is better and Bama probably has a few.

I felt like I got rope a doped. I was thinking 4 eps, this is gonna be juicy. And instead I got an infomercial and a laughably weak attempt to make Meyer look like a good guy.

He probably tried that in the NFL and the players told him to kick rocks

I forgot how lucky and mediocre that 2006 Florida team was by champion standards. Would’ve loved to see LSU make the SEC Champ that year and get revenge.

That’s kind of the point of every documentary bozo. This is the worst take of all time.

A couple episodes in, cannot suspend disbelief at Paul Finebaum as the go-to expert commentator.

ETA for the hell of it: Lucy Pinder, the gal Tebow supposedly dated at UF

Urban being involved was an easy tipoff that it was gonna be fluff.

100% this. I turned it on last night and was surprised to see urban getting interviewed. I knew they weren’t gonna get into anything juicy.

I can see gator fans enjoying this for an in depth look into the on field success of arguably their best coach’s tenure. But for anyone else, it’s not particularly captivating.
