Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 4 coming in 2 parts

I wonder if this is for story purposes or because NetFlix thinks it's bad to have a year pass between seasons.

I love the show but feel like it's an enternity between seasons. I don't remember a damn thing about the most recent season I watched.

It could be a response to one of the pitfalls to binge watching, certainly. It will be interesting to see if it pays off.

It's not just streaming shows. I usually have forgotten what happened on most shows by the time the new season airs, outside of season-ending cliffhangers.

Most shows used to do about 22-24 episodes a year which means for about half the year it'd be on once a week. Now we binge 10 episodes in a weekend and don't see it again for a year.
