I've read pretty loosely about the spy ring, but I'm going to have to check out the books mentioned. I'm a pretty casual history fan, but this kind of stuff really intrigues me.

So I've been reading a biography of B Arnold, Benedict Arnold: Patriot and Traitor by Willard Randall. The book is pretty awesome as it takes an objective view toward Arnold and puts a lot of the internal politics into a very interesting perspective.

Quite possibly one of the best biographies I have ever read and perhaps the best book set in this period.

I think Turn by the end will involve Arnold so it will be interesting to see how he is portrayed. So if you want a companion book that is not going over the exact same material as the spy ring or the early episode of Turn, this may be it.

You and I seem to have very similar taste in TV - more "male television" than female.

The great thing about that is they usually do have some very nice, ahem, scenery.

I did feel a little squicked out when I realized Abraham was the kid from "Billy Elliot".

But he grew up real nice. :cougar:

Fantastic news about the ratings!

Google sucketet(name of the area on Long Island) tells about the church the British are using, the spy ring, some about the battles there, and some other intriguing historical facts.

Yeah, I enjoyed this one as well.

I honestly think it's moving at a Breaking Bad pace (which is slow slow buildup) The King's Ranger even make's me uncomfortable at home.

Abraham definitely has himself wrapped up into some deep shite.

I guess the whole thing is going slow. But on the other hand the reveal of the murder of Captain Joyce was interesting, also have always heard about the pickling of war dead but never seen it portrayed cinematically.

I was a little disappointed that John Andre is making an appearance this early -not historically accurate- but he is such a compelling character, I guess I'm ok with it.

Fantastic show. The layers of intrigue getting Abraham deeper and deeper into shite. Can't wait for the next episode. Few shows deliver like this one.

Third Episode- Pretty good; Simcoe is such an awesome douche, Talmadge was put into a bit of a spot, court martial on the horizon?
Sad that Rodger Rodgers or John Andre didn't make an appearance.

I'm getting more hooked as the show goes on. Abrahams character is developing really nicely. his 1st fiancé is a babe.

and Simcoe is absolutely hilarious. I honestly didn't want them to kill him

Here is a statue to him in Toronto, Canada. Don't want to to ruin it with a historical spoiler, but we should see a bit more of him. Also if you don't want too much of a spoiler don't zoom into the picture.
