What's with the gauze on them? Guess they couldn't find something better laying around to glue on it?

I was really hoping you would give your pick for best pair of Jordans in which to chase down a feisty hooker attempting to make a last-ditch escape.*

By being in the NBA Eastern conference, the Bulls only played once per season at Dallas. A Bulls team that finished with a 44-38 record, beat a Mavericks team that finished 44-38, 107-97 on March 23rd, 1985, the first time I saw him play in person.

Michael had 20 points, so that game was a disappointing one for Dallas fans because this was when every team the Bulls played wanted to see Jordan score 50 points in a loss This was his 2nd season. Michael had been injured and didn't play in the one game during the previous season. I don't really remember anything about the game except for a couple of dunks he had. I had to look up when they played and the results.

What happened after the game is something I'll never forget!

Sam Perkins was a UNC teammate of Jordan's for three years He and another UNC alum, Al Wood, were on that Mavs team. After the game all three had showered and dressed, and were leaving Reunion Arena at the same time I was. I stayed about five yards behind them all the way out. When they opened the door to the players parking enterence, it looked like a TV report on The Beatles. Maybe 50 fans had gotten into the lot, and there was a big white stretch Lincoln limo in the middle of them.

They took off running for the limo, the driver cleared out enough room to open the door, and they all dove in together. It was one of the coolest things I've seen, especially by accident. I've seen many other pro athletes in a few crazy situations after games, but I can't replay any of them in my head the way I can with that.

Just as memorable for me was one of the fans,

He had one of the first Air Jordans in his hand, and he kept saying, "$125, and the Mother f*cker wouldn't even sign it."

Back to All Things Air Jordan" including the Air movie that I haven't seen yet.

Does the movie cover how big a deal it was to be Team Air?

When the Jordans first got so crazily popular, it was a big deal to be one of Mike's guys that was supplied with Air Jordans. Michael Finley was an inner-city kid from Chicago, that Mike took under his wing when Finley was in high school. Not only did Finley wear Air Jordans, he did the same game day ritual of dressing to the nines for every game. Any time you saw video of either, talking to the media after the game, they were back in the suit they wore to the game, or another one if he was going out. They didn't do interviews until they had redressed. Mike was still doing that when he was a Wizzard. I think Mike probably told Michael about how, and why, he did that, and it stuck. That sucked for the media, because they were the guys you needed to get quotes from for articles, and you had to literally stand around and wait.

There are some crazy stores about who could and couldn't wear them.

XI's look better than any dress shoe with a matching tux. It's like watching Boardwalk Empire and Nucky is wearing his spats!

Sorry I posted this after my evening meds.
