I agree, legit GOAT as a standalone season.
I love that for all the focus on Rust and his hypnotic, mystical bullshite throughout the flashbacks, Marty pretty much solves the whole thing in the present using good old fashioned policework.

By far the GOAT, maybe my third fave series of all time behind The Wire and The Sopranos.
Season 2 fuggin sucked
Season 3 fuggin sucked...actually quit watching season 3 after the 5th episode bc it was so goddamn boring and the jumps in timeline were confusing af. Someone on another board said you have to listen to a podcast to be able to understand whats going on lol.
Season 1 was epic on so many levels. Every word had a deeper meaning, even the way Rust smoked cigs was awesome and thought out. Season 3 is forced garbage with horrible acting trying in every way possible to be like season 1 but falling flat on its face. I hate to say it but I think TD is a 1 trick pony.

Always loved that Daddario scene, but Lili was so sexy in her freak scenes. Ended up watching Banshee recently and she is smoking in that too
S1 is my favorite ever in terms of TV, and I didn't mind S3, it had its moments(mostly with Dorff)
