I think we are all having King in Yellow moment. Getting drawn into a play and by glimpsing at Act II, we're all going nuts.
The horrible truths about the universe are revealed which are too much handle.
I'm not sure it's only rust and Marty who's supposed to be affected by the story, the audience are also the victims of the play.

In (I think) the second episode, they show a photo of one of the missing girls, standing in a field, surrounded by five guys on horseback who are wearing strange pointy headed costumes. Anybody have any idea what that is all about?
