Does everyone agree that episode 3 has more unanswered questions than the rest?

A lucifer. I think this is a child trafficking cabal with a voodoo/devil worship cover that Hart and Khole are going to literally burn to the ground. The Yellow King is probably Gov Tuttle since it is a literary reference to a depraved monarch. I'm just going with the "right in front of you" theory. I sure have enjoyed reading this thread though. Some of you could write your own scripts
Sounds plausible to me. I've said it many times that there's no way Marty or Rust are involved in the killings; people are reading too much into it.

It would bring too much attention to himself. It is much better to keep Rust close in order to steer the investigation where Marty wants it to go.
When they go after Ledoux, Marty is quick to abandon his partner and goes straight to where the children are being kept. Then goes straight back to Ledoux and silences him before Rust can question him.
Then Marty gets caught having the affair. Also, Rust quits at the same time. No more Rust; no more investigation. Whew, that was close. So, Marty turns his life around during the same exact period in time when the killings stop. He stops drinking; he stops sexing; and he even finds religion (guess which church).
Then, after several years, Marty starts drinking and sexing again. And the killings start happening again.
I've considered your standpoint; however, I feel Rust is too competent to be blinded by this for so long

there is not a cast big enough for your ideas

Some of these "connections" are just a little wink towards the audience and nothing more. Seriously don't overanalyze everything.
One small theory that I read that does tickle my fancy is that Maggie and Rust got busy back in 1995 and not in 2002. The dress that Maggie is wearing in Rust's apartment is the same one from 1995 when they go out to the bar (where Marty sees the stenographer broad with the other guy). In 2002, when Maggie goes it, she is wearing a red dress. Speculation is that the guy she speaks to in 2002 is the guy that she winds up marrying.

Then when does Rust and Marty fight?

I don't think this theory is viable. Rust meets Maggie while he is new. Maggie screws him while he is suspended. Open and shut case IMO.

Have you listened to this guy? He is dead wrong but interesting theory, that he probably stole from TD!

Another connection between Marty and the killings. Victims wore deer horns. Hart means stag.

I did not think he revealed anything specifically. I do find it interesting that he said one way or another we know if Marty or Rust is the killer after next week.

Good interview. Spoilers indeed.

2002. Maggie could have banged Rust in 1995 but decided to keep it on the DL until she found out Marty was doing Marty things again. As in she did Rust because she was suspicious of Marty back in 1995, but kept it to herself until 2002.
The fact that she goes out in 2002 with the red dress on makes me buy into this. Why would she go home and change into another dress just to bang Rust?

Pretty clear she is into him early on and that he digs her.
